Tarion: New Home Warranty

Tarion is a corporation that is responsible for administering the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act, which in turn outlines the warranty protection that new home and condominium builders must provide, by Ontario law, to new purchasers.  Its purposes are to ensure that builders abide by the current legislation of Ontario and is set up to protect purchasers when builders fail to fulfil warranty obligations as set out by such legislation.
